Art is all about expression, and sometimes, that means stepping outside the usual and embracing something completely different.
Enter "The Skull Crew"—a series of illustrations and drawings that have taken me on a creative journey very different to my 'normal' style.
The Concept: One Base, Infinite Personalities
Each piece in The Skull Crew starts from the same foundation: a skull. But from there, every single one takes on its own unique personality, theme, or story. Some are bold and vibrant, bursting with energy and colour, while others are intricate and thought-provoking, exploring deeper meanings.
This series is quite a departure from my usual florals and abstract paintings, but that’s exactly why I love it. It’s a chance to push my creativity in new directions, to experiment with different ideas, and to see where the artwork takes me.
Why Skulls?
Skulls are often seen as symbols of mortality, mystery, or even rebellion—but for me, they represent endless possibilities. They’re like a blank canvas, allowing me to tell a new story with each piece.
From playful and whimsical to moody and symbolic, each skull in the series has its own voice. Some might make you smile, others might make you think, and a few might even surprise you.
The Joy of Creative Contrast
One of the things I love most about The Skull Crew is how different it is from my usual work. It challenges me to stretch my creative muscles, to step away from soft florals and fluid abstracts, and to embrace something bolder, more structured, and totally unique.
